A menu entry for ‘Control Centre’ has been added to Ubuntu 11.04’s Session Menu.

The item, when clicked, launches the Gnome Control Centre – a one stop dashboard for accessing a myriad of settings and applications users traditionally would have found under the ‘System’ menu on a pre-Unity desktop.

I find the placing of the entry a tad curious – ‘System Settings’ doesn’t really scream ‘Session options’ to me but the entry, nevertheless, will provide users with quick and convenient access to a very useful utility.
