If you don’t already own the awesome indie game ‘World of Goo’ here’s some welcome news: it’s now available to purchase via the Ubuntu Software Centre.

The physics-based puzzle game, priced at $19.95, has proved popular with gamers on many platforms – from Wii to PC – as well as with critics.

As with all applications purchased through the Software Centre the game will be linked to your UbutuOne SSO account allowing you to re-download the item at a later date should you re-install Ubuntu, etc.

It seems the gears are finally getting oiled of late with more paid-for apps landing in the Software Centre. Yesterday saw the arrival of MMORPG Vendetta Online and a 64bit version of logic game Brukkon.
