The PPA is not required – or even recommended – for casual every day usage but it does offer those willing to run the risk of encountering potential bugs the opportunity to use native LX-branded applications.
Applications currently in the PPA include: –
- Lxkeymap: keyboard layout tool
- Lubuntu-control-center: A central place for settings
- Lxappareance plugin for openbox settings
- LxProxy
- Ubiquity
The PPA also has, on occasion, carried upgrades for Lubuntu-specific components not present in the main Ubuntu repositories.
