The first formal release of new minimal download manager Steadyflow is now available for users to download.

Version 0.1 of the GTK+ applications sees support for: –

  • Pausing, resuming, and restarting downloads
  • Search/filter box
  • Optional notification bubbles upon starting and finishing downloads
  • Application indicator (sans mono icon for now)

Download
Installing Steadyflow is almost as simple as using it. Open up a terminal (from Applications > Accessories) and enter the following line to add the Stable release PPA (Lucid & Maverick supported): –

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sikon/steadyflow

To install run the following command: –

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install steadyflow

Alternatively a tarball can, of course, be downloaded from the Steadyflow launchpad page.
