My good friend Marco Ostini from the Lunar Numbat project pinged me on Google Talk to let me know that linux.conf.au – the annual Australian Linux conference that I blogged about previously – has now announced the list of mini-conferences to be held early next year in Brisbane.

LCA2011 will feature “the most exciting and substantial array of lca miniconfs to date” with highlights such as:

  • Freedom in the cloud – Francois Marier
  • Multicore and Parallel Computing – Nicolás Erdödy
  • Rocketry – Bdale Garbee
  • Business of Open Source – Martin Michlmayr

Depending on pricing and accommodation, (any readers live in Brisbane who wouldn’t mind lending me their couch?)  I might be able to make the hop across the tasman to our Australian cousins and attend – if I do, of course I will be covering it live for the blog!

The full miniconf announcement can be found here.
