Robbie Williamson has announced on Twitter that the next Ubuntu Developer Summit for the 11.04 release will be held in Orlando, Florida from the 25th – 29th October, 2010.

Robbie says “With Disney AND Ubuntu there, it will now truly be the happiest place on earth :P”

Ubuntu Developer Summits are held every six months to plan for each release of Ubuntu. Canonical employees and community members from the world over travel to spend 5 days talking tech. At UDS many of the big decisions about what goes into an Ubuntu release are made, including the default application selection.

The last UDS, which had over 400 attendees, was held in Brussels, Belgium last May to plan for the Maverick release which is due out on the 10th October, 2010.

With a bit of luck the OMG! Ubuntu! crew will be there with live coverage of the event as it unfolds!
