The first Alpha release of open source historical real-time strategy game ‘0 A.D’ has been made available via publishers Wildfire.
The game, which has been in production since 2000 (!), strives for both historical accuracy and exciting gameplay.
This first Alpha release sees many notable improvements upon previous pre-alpha’s including ‘aggressive units that attack enemies on sight, lifelike animals that escape danger, two new maps, in-game multiplayer chat’ and much more.

Users wishing to try out 0 A.D should remember that the release is termed Alpha for a reason – it is not complete and bugs aplenty will abound.
