Redshift – the natural-screen colour application that promises to help alleviate eye strain and help sleep patterns – has added some new features in its latest update.

Among the new features and fixes:

  • Automatically obtains location form the GNOME clock applet
  • Application indicator
  • A new reset option (-x) removes all changes made
  • New translations
  • Configure options GUI changed

Installation

As always Redshift can be installed by adding the official PPA to your Software Sources in Ubuntu.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonls/redshift-ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install redshift
