Users of the Chromium browser daily builds for Ubuntu may be surprised to find their window controls ‘doing a Lucid‘ and switching from the right to the left.
Chromium now adheres to the window button placement specified by your theme, so Ambience and Radiance users will see their buttons placed on the left accordingly, users of themes where the buttons site on the right will notice no difference.
This change will be welcomed by many Ubuntu users, many of whom have resorted to using the ‘system title bar & borders’ feature to get window button consistency in Chromium.
This change is currently in the Chromium Daily PPA which users can install using: –
- sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chromium-daily/ppa
- sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install chromium-browser
