Conversation-style e-mail display, like that found in GMail, is heading to Postler - and plans on looking sexy in the process. Initial work on conversation threads - which groups sequential e-mails from the same 'conversation' - is already present in the development builds of Postler.

It's been a wee while since I last spoke about the elementary mail application 'Postler' but, in the last few days, the project has finally come to Launchpad.
Most desktop e-mail clients share the same interface layout and feature set making them great for people with lots to manage but not so great for just using e-mail as e-mail. About a week back we interviewed Elementary project lead and Ubuntu designer Dan Rabbit.
