Popular desktop utility Ubuntu Tweak is adding support for ‘PPA Purge’ affording users the ability remove a PPA and all libraries, apps etc installed form it at the push of one single button.

Users can test it right now via Ubuntu Tweaks Unstable PPA.

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-tweak-testing/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

Alternatively users can wait for it to land in the stable release in a few weeks time.

Ubuntu Tweak continues to impress me with it’s drive to make everything easyt and accessible to end users but I can’t help but wonder what Ubuntu Tweak will look like in 6 months time when Ubuntu integrates many of the features users turn to it for… That, however, is a thought for another day.
