FS Icons – a glossy icon set inspired by an unused peice of Ubuntu branding – has been updated with a wider selection of icons and refreshed folders.
Thus far the icon set is incomplete and falls back to Ubuntu’s default icon set where there are no FS Icons equivalents. That move might sounds like a good fallback on paper but, in practice, it’s pretty jarring.
To install the icon theme:
- Extract the .zip file downloaded above
- Extract the .tar.gz files within the ‘FS Icons’ folder
- Go to your Home folder & press Ctrl+H
- Move above folders to the ‘.icons’ directory
You can set icon themes using Ubuntu Tweak, GNOME Tweak Tool or MyUnity.
