Ubuntu One Team Seeking Mac Dev

A new job opening has been listedon the Canonical website for a Mac software developer to join the Ubuntu One engineering team.

The position, titled ‘Software Engineer (client applications Mac/Windows)’, requires applicants to have at least 5 years experience of developing on OS X, ‘including knowledge of low level APIs (Filesystem, shell integration)’, as well as experience in ‘Python, C and Objective C’.

Amongst the ‘keyresponsibilities’ listed for the role are the ‘development of cross-platform features and/or applications on Mac’ and ‘integration with the [mac] platform.’

Although Ubuntu One desktop clients areavailablefor Linux and Windows – and mobile apps are available for Android and iOS – OS X users are only able toaccess/upload/download files intheir Ubuntu One account using a web browser.
