The latest stable release of media player Banshee has been announced.
Banshee 2.2 benefits from numerous bug fixes and enhancements, as well as gaining a handful of new features. These include: –
- New ‘eMusic’ Store
- Barnes & Noble Nook support
- Support for default radio stations
- Additional device supports including Samsung Galaxy Ace, Aperia X2 and Motorola Atrix

Banshee 2.2 can be downloaded from the Banshee website @ banshee.fm
Packages for Ubuntu 10.04 through 11.04 will be available to install from the Banshee Stable PPA soon.
