KDE Twitter app Choqok 1.1 released; how to download

An update to Qt-based Twitter client ‘Choqok’ is now available for download.

Now on version 1.1, the release contains a new translator plugin; a timeline filter to make reading tweets in your stream from a specific person or topic easier and a new option to hide the menu bar.

Choqok 1.1 can be installed by compiling from source, using the package here, or installing from an unofficial Choqok PPA which contains the latest update for Ubuntu 10.04, 10.10 and 11.04: –

• sudo add-apt-repository ppa:adilson/experimental
• sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install choqok

The above PPA contains experiential packages or Thunderbird, so for 10.10 and 11.04 you may wish to download the .deb* files directly: –

11.04
