Photo management application ‘Shotwell’ has hit version 0.9 this morning. New features added to the release include support for .tiff images, a new search bar and the ability to edit multiple photo titles at the same time.

Upgrade Shotwell in Ubuntu 10.10 and 10.04

Ubuntu 10.10 users can upgrade Shotwell via the Yorba PPA.

  • sudo apt-add-repository ppa:yorba/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install shotwell

Ubuntu 10.04 packages are provided by Martin Wimpress in the PPA below:

  • sudo apt-add-repository ppa:yorba/ppa
  • sudo apt-add-repository ppa:flexiondotorg/shotwell
  • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install shotwell

Ubuntu 11.04 users will be upgraded automatically.
