A new testing PPA for MPlayer – the robust media player for Linux – is now available for Ubuntu users to install from.

This testing PPA will allow uses wishing to easily test the latest features, fixes – and bugs – present in MPlayers development versions.

Writing on the MPlayer blog the team said: –

“As a special service for Ubuntu users, the mplayer project now provides packages for various versions of Ubuntu. The packages are built twice a week from SVN trunk and run independently of your system libraries.”

Install the Mplayer Daily Build PPA

The PPA is available for Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid through to Ubuntu 11.04 Natty.
