Time flies when you’re…. tweeting… The first release candidate of Qt Twitter app Choqok has been released ahead of the formal 1.0 release date on December 26th.
Changes and new features since 1.0 beta
So what’s changed since we last waxed proverbially lyrical on Choqok? Quite a bit.
- Support for Twitter lists
- Option to display the timeline in reverse order
- Hide one tweet or a whole users tweets
- New image uploading plugins including Posterous, Twitgoo and Mobypicture
- Send your latest twit to Kopete, Pidgin, PSi or Skype

Source code for this release can be downloaded here or those who like to take things a easy can install from the unofficial experimental Choqok PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:adilson/experimental
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install choqok
As the PPA contains other experiential packages, including Thunderbird and gyachi, Maverick users may wish, instead, to download the .deb* files.
*These are the .debs for the 1.0 RC despite being named 0.9.98.
