Ubuntu 10.10 testers missing their Nautilus-Elementary fix will be pleased to hear that the “issues” which  previously prevented Maverick users from using the lean file-browser have now been solved.

The PPA – which contains the replacement Nautilus and other files, so be aware of what you’re upgrading to – can be added using the commands below.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:am-monkeyd/nautilus-elementary-ppa

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

New features present in Nautilus-Elementary include an embedded terminal (F7, see picture below), the return of the ‘ClutterView’ cover-flow style (F4) and integrated Zeitgeist search.
