uTorrent, everyone’s favourite torrent client for Windows is apparently coming to Linux, and therefore Ubuntu! The following was stated on the uTorrent idea which received a large number of votes:
“We’re making good progress on the Linux client. Sit tight and we’ll have a client out soon enough.”
Many users will be happy to be able to enjoy the extra features of uTorrent over Transmission which is a very simple torrent program. I myself don’t see many advantages over using uTorrent instead of the current ones available on Ubuntu, but I’m sure there are some!
