The first Alpha of LXDE-based Ubuntu spin Lubuntu has been made available for download.
Alpha releases are not advised for users requiring a stable and working desktop but for those interested in testing, reporting & fixing bugs.
Julien Lavergne, in a post to the Lubuntu mailing list announcing the release, made it clear that Lubuntu 10.10 Alpha 1 is “…still very early in the development” and that users“..[should]n’t expect many improvements and too much stability.”
