Just a quick post to share the exciting news that “Getting Started with Ubuntu 10.04,” which was released about 18 hours before Lucid, had 20,000 downloads in the first 24 hours and is now up to 35,000 total with two dozen copies of the book sold in print from online publisher Lulu.
The team is really, really pleased with this result and I must admit we never anticipated such a great number of downloads. Thanks a lot to everyone who has helped us!
We hope that number continues to increase as we release versions in different languages over the next few weeks.
