The most gorgeous Lucid Wallpaper. Ever.

Hurrah_Ubuntu_by_pr09studio

We've featured pr09studio's work before but this latest wallpaper set €“ Hurrah Ubuntu €“ is, in my eyes, arguably his greatest so far (and the rest are freaking awesome so that says a lot!).

It comes in two pink-y tones both of which compliment the new Ubuntu theme's wonderfully. And that logo€¦ Ahhh.

Thanks for the link. Is there a way to put a different wallpaper on each screen of a dual screen set-up (TwinView)? Cheers.

This is kind of random, but I’ve always wondered – do Ubuntu artists use a free program to make their wallpapers, or do they use Macs with Photoshop? I can’t imagine that there are that many GIMP-gurus that make this amazing of artwork. :)

I guess I figured it out myself when I opened the archive of this wallpaper. There is a source.xcf right in the root.

gimp is actually surprisingly capable. I’m pretty impressed with what I’ve seen people come up with.

Its not something I would use personally … however as a ‘default on install’ wallpaper it is very nice. 1000 times better than the garbage they shipped Ubuntu with.
