QT web browser Rekonq is to add support for Chrome extensions – allowing thousands of already-made extensions to run out-of-the-box — all thanks to the work of KDE developer Nikhil Marathe.
Rekonq, tentatively marked as Kubuntu 10.10’s default browser, is able to do this thanks to Google Chrome’s web-standards based extension API.
Rekonq will see the release of version 0.5 — which will lack extension support – later next month.
