After I restarted the netbook, I got only the desktop wallpaper and ... nothing else. Not even the mouse pointer. The only thing I was able to do was Ctrl+Alt+Del and restart. It was suggested to me to start the system in the recovery mode, which I did. I did run the option of repairing the packages, but nothing improved. After that I did run the last option in the list and get to root@mymachine:~#. I assume that now I should enter the command to uninstall UNity interface, but I dont know how. Has anyone some clue about it? Thank you in advance. PS : Excuse my English. It is not my native language. Hi! this worked for me:
