    Yeah Ubuntu Tweak is great but I think Ailurus is better. I used Ubuntu Tweak but Im now with Ailurus.

      Ailurus was far to buggy for me. The only way I got it to work right was by running it as root which it said itself not to do. oh well…

      Plus Ubuntu Tweak crashes on Xubuntu, Ailurus works fine.

    that dist upgrade feature at the end is extremely useful…no longer are the days of backing up and commenting out my third party PPAs by hand…this is truly a godsend!!

    thanks d0od, i’ll download it now!

      Backup utility included in the upcoming Linux Mint edition (9) also has an option of backing up and restoring your custom repos. Of course as all Mint tools it will work just fine with Ubuntu.

        i know..i have a quick script for that (i was “kind of” exaggeration)
        but this thing prevents borked upgrades…if only this functionality was built in to ubuntu

    @d0od

    ubuntu-tweak has the interface tab thing

    in gnome menu settings

      Yay! Someone was inspired by me! Kind of sort of. Looks like they didn’t add the options to change the toolbar to just icons…

        did you try the “dockbarx” – applet? just icons – and you can pin applications if you want to.

        • Sebas310

          I see what you thought I meant, however it is not what I did mean. If you look at the Interface Tab script, you’ll see the “Toolbar Style” option, it being either Icons Only, Text Only, Text and Icons Horizontally, or Text and Icons Vertically. This is the option I wanted in Ubuntu Tweak.

      It’s part of it, but not everything you can’t select text under/next icons or icons only.

    I hadn’t noticed the menu / button icon options before. Pretty neat as sometimes it’s quicker to discern Create new * menu options with icons. Though it looks a little messier. Damn OCD.

    I already have the previous version (0.5.3), which I downloaded from the Ubuntu Tweek site. Can I upgrade it somehow? Or do I have to delete it and install the new version?

      Dude, go to the source center and click on Ubuntu Tweak PPA! Refresh and install updates!

      ;)
