X-IVi (Human Deluxe) – Proposed Lucid Theme

These Lucid theme proposals are coming in thick and fast. Today saw the addition of ‘X-IV‘ (10.04 in Roman numerals) a ‘Human Deluxe’ theme that works exceptionally well with the Homosapien or Lucidty metacities.

“The idea was to create a real Human-Theme (brown-tones and almost rounded).”

The theme sports some gorgeous touches, such as the scroll bars which at first seemed very Windows ’95 but actually really look lush.

The theme doesn’t include a metacity but works very well with Homosapien variants and the Lucidity metacity: -

    I don’t like it, but I do love the fact that it is very different from all the existing theme, and especially from evil windows-like and macosx-like theme.

    I love this theme,but the scroll bar is so similar with its background ,i think the background should be a little darker so you can recognize it.

    That looks okay, because it’s too boxy and rough. Doesn’t have soft tones to it at all.

    Thanks @ all. I will try to improve here and there for get it something prettier. Visit the wiki from time to time to see if a new version is available. It’s still a very very young theme … ;)

    Looks good, I’m using it now with Lucidity borders. It’s not as sleek or polished as elementary, and it shows in Nautilus.

    Some more spit and polish, and customizable colours and I’ll be sold. I’d like to change the window background colour to something a bit lighter.

    I love the way they’ve done the tabs and the scroll bars – that looks awesome and this is the way Ubuntu should be going.

    I think in Lucid they should replace ALL the default themes (perhaps with the exception of Clearlooks and Contrast High Inversion) with new fresh themes. The current ones are so outdated… I mean “Metabox” and “Crux” and “Atlanta” – really?!!

    Awesome – genius tabs and menus (with Homosapien – just perfection).

    But in my opinion this one is too pretty 2 become 1 of the default themes in Ubuntu.

    SURELY there is more going on in Ubuntu development than just “Someone has made a mockup of a theme they’d like to see in Ubuntu”!

    This site is getting really boring. Please, can we have more stuff about Ubuntu or upstream projects rather than just aggregating gnome-look.org?

      This is a theme proposal for lucid ergo we cover it.

      If were were really just “aggregating” gnome-look.org this post would have a “10 awesome/amazing/lush/so what if you’ve seen them all before/i need post filler themes” title.

    This one I like. I don’t care much for the scrollbar however.

    I love it! But…

    - I don’t like the textboxes (textareas are great! why not use the same style?)
    - I don’t like the progress bar… I really don’t like it.
    - Listboxes are ok, but seeing what you’ve done with all the other, I think that you can do it better
    - I don’t like the checkboxes with a tick.

    With Lucidity this theme is awesome!
