On a side note, I also remember reading that the movie Shrek was created on Linux based boxes (http://www.v3.co.uk/vnunet/news/2125356/linux-behind-magic-shrek). At that time, not many people were aware of it and it was kind of a leading edge thing.

It’s kind of nice to see “Linux” more visible; there are more and more programmes appearing where, if one looks closely, an Ubuntu or other Linux box can be seen somewhere in the scene.

Haha that’s incredibly unlikely – is there even an Ubuntu screensave for ANY version of WIndows, let alone ’98?!

It’s “well known” that the BBC Cardiff team use Ubuntu for various things – the computers in the Torchwood hub are Ubuntu running VLC at fullscreen, displaying what needs to be displayed.
