Can this be added to Unity to show unread GoogleMail emails in Unity without needing an email client, or can you suggest a solution to get this. Thanks

I installed it yestarday. Nice app.
Here is a tip: when a new mails arribes the app lets you execute a command. If you install libnotify-bin you can execute notify-send -i “New mail”. This shows the standar ubuntu popup.

this program stores your password in plain text you can find it in the file name .googsystrayrc

yeah i prefer the program’s popup better since you can reply in them. i hope ubuntu incorporates a feature like this in the future.

I wish it’d use libnotify (= notify-osd or notification-daemon) instead of its own pop-ups :/

am man this is awesome i’ve been using one number for google chrome but i like this better since i dont have to have browser open to get notification and i can reply to google voice messages through the pop up box.
