Ubuntu Lucid Lynx Alpha 1 Released [Link Now Live]

The first Alpha of the Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx development cycle will be released later on today. This will be the first of 3 Alpha releases, the following of which will arrive January 14th and February 25th respectively. 

Whilst I do not recommend installing Lucid Alpha 1 on any machine that you intend to use daily, you will find the relevant download details available at the following link: -

    as i commented before, you should post instructions on using “Test Drive”, it will do every thing, from downloading using zsync and opening the Virtual Machine

        OMG! I have subscribed and have been reading every one of your articles.(including that one:)
        I was expecting a little bit more i guess :D.
        I will wait till the first beta then. The Kola has treated me too well to let it go this soon.

          I should actually point out that Plymouth isn’t in Alpha 1 (to anyone wondering where it is!)

          I really would recommend anyone to use any of the Alpha’s. Particularly of this LTS which is getting a ton of new technologies behind the scenes. it’ll be very frustrating – but it’s why blogs like this are here! To do to the testing for you!

        Nooooooooo!! Keith (the koala) doesn’t want to leave just yet. He says Lynx isn’t released until April so he’s got a few more months left in his contract…

        I need to decide whether to get a Lynx stuffed toy, too.(the koala is a toy that held various poses through the development of Karmic in our banners etc for people who don’t know. which will be most!)

          Oh, I thought that these mascots will be there just during development
          ’cause you are tracking a lot new releases.

          Finding a Lynx toy would be really hard tbh, try to find a tiger or something :)
