On the other hand, it seems that simple scan is only another UI for the same backend as xsane, ie sane, so since sane is mature and everything, it might be a good replacement solution, that might not require many efforts, until Gnome-Scan becomes better.By the way, on ther other hand, I've heard that Gnome Scan does support more scanners than Xsane, so if any of you as troubles with simple-scan or xsane, give flegita a try ;â‹…).
