I don't have a problem with Ubuntu's tendency toward darker brown color schemes. But seems like with Karmic they've trended toward lightening up the brown and made it more yellowish orange. It's definitely original; I've never seen a color scheme so ugly. And striking, yes, but not in a good way. That looks hideous.
