Google are prepping an official extension gallery for add-ons to their popular browser.
https://chrome.google.com/extensions links no-where as of yet, but then neither did the ‘themes’ gallery to start with.
According to developers on the Chrome Groups list, extensions are due to hit Chrome’s beta channel in early December so one could assume this gallery will launch around the same time.
A Google Shaped Chrome Fist?
One does wonder what the criterion for add-ons shown the extension gallery will be given no user submissions are currently allowed for the themes gallery. (That is unless you’re a well known artist or Mariah Carey).
Will the gallery be full of official Google Add-ons? Will they allow Ad-blockers? What about YouTube download extensions?
