Google ChromeOS To Become Available Next Week (Apparently!)

TechCrunch are reporting that ChromeOS could be launched within a week - albeit for a limited set of devices (mainly netbooks). This isn’t a crazy supposition given Google themselves had announced plans for an early version to be released in November.

    I can’t tell, and sadly I’m on a position where being internet-dependent is impossible. That said, I think the project is awesome, the fact that the cloud desktop happens to be on the radar of the future, more and more on amazon, the eyeOS project, VNC/Nginx enabled cloud hosts, the need for a cloud desktop is there (For everybody else, of course), and I think ChromeOS is a very innovative approach to the desktop, Google hits first, it’s just about to see whether it gains popularity and respect, and wether do we need a cloud OS right now ;)
