I personally find that more practical than having the toolbar area transparent, though having both would be good too. Considering Nautilus already supports custom backgrounds it seems like it would be easier to implement this hack right here. Anyone without programming experience would probably overlook it entirely.It did seem to me that most apps wouldn't work well with it. I think he chose the apps in that screenshot very carefully.It'd be great to see more apps use this. It'd also be good to not have the opacity settings hard-coded. Not being overly bright it took me a good twenty minutes to figure out what it was trying to say! lolI didn't get beyond that so used an older method which, whilst not using the "better" transparency values this one does, was okay.
