Does any one know if the Docky PPA is Karmic-only? That’s the only one I’m not seeing on Jaunty..

It’s part of the “rico” ppa. Given that PPA carries a lot of bleeding edge stuff that you might not want updated you might just want to download the .deb’s.

Ah ha, I’ll keep that link handy. Saves rebuilding Docky every time I reinstall (which has been a lot recently). Cheers!

Shame I can’t see it in UbuntuTweak, though. Oh well. ^^

I can’t see Dropbox nor the new “themes’ submenu. I already had 0.4.9.1 installed via a .deb and all I did was installing 0.4.9.2 via .deb without first removing the older version, figuring it would automatically update. The revision number is correct when I launch it, but can’t see the above mentioned items anyway.

Dropbox was under “Nautilus Dropbox”. I already have Dropbox installed but according to Ubuntu Tweak, it is not. I wonder what nasty things that would occur if I installed it via Ubuntu Tweaks as well.

Be careful! Ubuntu Tweak stupidly has that broken OpenShot PPA enabled inside it. If you so much as enable it then you’ll break all video playback!

I’m pretty sure you meant “Deprecated”, not “depreciated” in your article. :) I know you’re the only person writing and you do make mistakes, so I’m not trying to be a jerk. Just thought I’d help a little on that one (also, remove the apostrophe from “see’s” to make it “sees”)

    • http://omgubuntu.co.uk/ d0od

I genuinely did mean to use depreciated.

You’re right to pull me up on my apostrophe usage though, it’s one of those things that no matter how many times i learn, i can’t un-learn the way i’ve used them. (I can also never spell disappear, necessary or appearance without thinking about them. Odd.)
