Google Chrome Artist’s Themes Work With Linux Chrome (Sadly does Include the totally pointless Mariah Carey Theme!)

Google officially released a collection of 100 “Artists Themes for Chrome” today – a bunch of not entirely successful skins for Google Chrome designed by some of the worlds “best artists”, including Jeff Koons, Jenny Holzer, Karim Rashid, Jonathan Adler, Oscar de la Renta, Anita Kunz, Tom Sachs, Kate Spade, Donna Karan, Kid Robot, Casey Reas, Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Graves, Todd Oldham, Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Mariah Carey.

I’m please to report that they work fine in Google Chrome for Linux, so be sure to take a peek at the hard work that’s gone into them.

Such as the Mariah Carey theme (!): -

There are a hundred available so you’re sure to find something you might like. Check them out over @ https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html

I realy like this one designed by Tom Sachs:

Sadly printing is one of the last few jigsaw pieces to be fitted into Chrome/ium :(

I dislike a program that install a script in cron.daily for modify my sources and upgrade it without my permission.

    Maybe someone like that.

So you’d rather install Chrome and have it sat un-updated and feature-incomplete? The auto-adding of the repo to your software sources SAVES you having to do it yourself :)

I do! I love that it auto-added their repository.

never upgraded without my permission though; I always do it manually.

All is great except transparency doesnt seem to work.

Am I the only one who thinks that all themes are completely distracting (on the new tab page, especially) and useless, since a lot of people maximize the browser window anyway?
