Google Search insights ‘predicts’ that ‘Ubuntu’ will be more popular than ‘Linux’ by 2010. (In terms of search, of course!)
This week Google launched a “forecast” feature in Google Insights for Search. It examines the search history of a particular term and then tries to ‘predict’ the future trends for that term.
Pitting Ubuntu against Linux in Google Insights shows that by February 2010 (circled in blue) interest in Ubuntu will overtake that of Linux.
Of course, this is by no-means a set-in-stone and wholly accurate prediction, more of a possible hint of what may happen…
Would this be a bad thing?
